I’ve been uploading my video tutorial one week ago but I am having a hard time to wait for it until it was uploaded. While uploading the video, here’s some sweet strawberry for you!

Are you planning to have your own blog site? As what you have read on the title, yes it’s FREE. You can use these Blogging Platforms to make your own blog site. Most of my readers who are new to the cyber world want to have their own blog sites or what we called “online diary”. People’s attention nowadays is more of interest on sharing their own lifestyle by publishing their photos, videos, thoughts, artworks and etc. Then, what do you need to do to make your own blog site? You don’t have domain and hosting site? It’s not a problem anymore!

Okay, all you have to do is register the following Blogging Platforms which I’ve researched. These are all popular Blogging Platforms here in the Philippines. Yup, these might be the “TOPs” although not exactly, but I’m sure these are popularly used by the Filipino Bloggers.

1. WordPress is an open source Content Management System (CMS), often used as a blog publishing application, powered by PHP andMySQL.

2. Blogger is a blog publishing service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. Generally, the blogs are hosted by Google at subdomains of blogspot.com. Up until May 1, 2010 Blogger allowed users to publish blogs on other hosts, via FTP.

3. Tumblr is a microblogging platform that allows users to post text, images, videos, links, quotes and audio to their tumblelog, a short-form blog. Users can follow other users, or choose to make their tumblelog private.

4. LiveJournal (LJ) is a virtual community where Internet users can keep a blog, journal or diary. LiveJournal is also the name of the free andopen source^[4] server software that was designed to run the LiveJournal virtual community. See? You don’t need any domain names and hosting site. All you have to do is register and start posting your stories, photos, videos or anything that you wanted to post Cool right?

If you are going to ask me what Blogging Platform have I used on the lists above, I have my Tumblr account which is currently active. I also have WordPress and Blogger account but those are not active anymore since 2008 I think? Hahaha! I just want to stay and take care of this blog site

Okay! For this post, I’ll skip the tutorial for the mean time, but I hope this will catch your attention. This is my entry for Sulit.com.ph’s Christmas Card Contest (I want to give it a try ).

The contest is entitled Create Your Own Sulit Christmas Card with the theme of “Pasko 2010: Pasko ng Pamilyang Pilipino sa Makabagong Panahon”. Hey you can join too! It’s better to experience different web/graphic design contests online for you to be known as a good challenger. What ever design you present, everybody will appreciate it for as long as you design it with passion and desire. Actually, while doing this design and hearing the Christmas song I felt the Christmas breeze I really love illustrating and designing!

Sorry because it’s just too simple. The style I did was Filipino-ish since the theme is “Pasko ng Pamilyang Pilipino sa Makabagong Panahon”. Being a proud Pinoy, I emphasized the Filipino drawing style. Yes! everything you see on the Christmas card were all designed and illustrated by me (it’s my own copyright). It was made using Illustrator; not Photoshop You can see a family singing together as they use MacBook as their lyrics’ guide that represents ‘new technology’. It’s not just that! Try to figure out the ‘Christmas Tree’ I wanted to have some snow flakes on it but since there’s no snow here in the Philippines, there’s no need to put them then. Yup yup! Everything is Filipino style and I hope you feel the Christmas by seeing this. If you feel it, you can share it to others too! Yehey!!!
