We should prepare for Christmas first! Hehehe!
Okay! For this post, I’ll skip the tutorial for the mean time, but I hope this will catch your attention. This is my entry for Sulit.com.ph’s Christmas Card Contest (I want to give it a try ).
The contest is entitled Create Your Own Sulit Christmas Card with the theme of “Pasko 2010: Pasko ng Pamilyang Pilipino sa Makabagong Panahon”. Hey you can join too! It’s better to experience different web/graphic design contests online for you to be known as a good challenger. What ever design you present, everybody will appreciate it for as long as you design it with passion and desire. Actually, while doing this design and hearing the Christmas song I felt the Christmas breeze

Sorry because it’s just too simple. The style I did was Filipino-ish since the theme is “Pasko ng Pamilyang Pilipino sa Makabagong Panahon”. Being a proud Pinoy, I emphasized the Filipino drawing style. Yes! everything you see on the Christmas card were all designed and illustrated by me (it’s my own copyright). It was made using Illustrator; not Photoshop You can see a family singing together as they use MacBook as their lyrics’ guide that represents ‘new technology’. It’s not just that! Try to figure out the ‘Christmas Tree’ I wanted to have some snow flakes on it but since there’s no snow here in the Philippines, there’s no need to put them then. Yup yup! Everything is Filipino style and I hope you feel the Christmas by seeing this. If you feel it, you can share it to others too! Yehey!!!

Nice christmas card!! I like it’s simplicity, plus the fact that you chose to depict the family singing together which really emphasized the strong bond of Filipino family.

I can’t join to contests kasi madami din ginagawa sa school at sa bahay…
tapos nabasa ko na may tutorial ka next week about animation! sakto ate sab! meron kaming multimedia systems na subject at macromedia flash 5 yung gamit namin for animations! I hope maturuan mo kami dun!
