Some people keep asking me what is Information Technology course is all about and what careers awaits in future.

I was tasked to have a minute of course orientation in our school for the Freshmen who took up BS Information and BS Computer Science and majority of them are BS IT. I asked them why IT, I called a girl and she said, “Wala pong mapiling course eh.”

For those students especially high school, you should choose what course you are really interested in. Do not just choose IT if you don’t find computer and technology interesting. However, if this course really interest you, then you are on the right track. Computers and technology are very in demand nowadays, you can easily find opportunity not just in other country, but also here in Philippines and say, “My interest is here, to become a professional Programmer.”

So what are the responsilibilities of being an IT graduate? System administration, database administration and other Management Information Services are examples of responsilibilities.

Information Technology – A Definition
We use the term information technology or IT to refer to an entire industry. In actuality, information technology is the use of computers and software to manage information. In some companies, this is referred to as Management Information Services (or MIS) or simply as Information Services (or IS).

The information technology department of a large company would be responsible for storing information, protecting information, processing the information, transmitting the information as necessary, and later retrieving information as necessary.

Candy Fair ’08 and Candy Teen Blog Awarding 2008

Exactly 1 pm we’ve been at the A. Venue Hall at Makati Avenue, Makati City, but the exact time for the Awarding is 5 pm. Oh my God! Those cutie girls outside is very dollie! Most of them are wearing a Korean style, how I wish time could turn back as I am a teenager. A minute stayed inside the hall, a Candy Cutie grabbed my hand and said that I must be in the jail booth for a minute because I am wearing a white shirt. *whheew* “Akala ko tinawag niya ko for awarding di pla” Hahaha! It’s been a long time that the affair is still going on, I saw a tattoo booth and tried to have this on my right hand =) *LOL** I feel that I am a teenager hahaha! It’s 3:30 pm and Ms. Macy the Web Producer text me that we should be at the backstage by 4 pm because the awarding will be 5 pm. Then I proceed there at the said time. One hour before the awarding, me and Ate Xyla is waiting for the time of awarding. Shocks*! I saw the Candy Cuties going out of a curtain, and stand by in the place where we are with Ate Xyla. Aw, they are all pretty boy! While still waiting for the time of our turn, I am standing at the back of a Candy Cutie who’s name is Kendrick (Ken). He didn’t know that there’s a girl behind him hehehe. He shocked and apologized because he’s covering me. He asked me if I am high school student, and I said I’m a college student already, and graduating actually. Then he asked if I am a contestant, and I replied no I’ve been there for the awarding of Candy Teen Blog Awards 2008. He congratulate me! It’s very nice to meet him =)

Every Filipinos’ vision is to trail the fact that the Philippines is famous when it comes to talent. Boxing Sport? Manny “Pacman” Paquiao is here! How about arts? Categorize by singing, dancing and great performance around the world. The Cercado Sisters who won the Junior Vocal Category of the 2006 World Championship of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood, California. Then blogs? Philippine people are great when it comes to posting their online diary. April 2008, The Philippine Blog Awards Nomination has been opened and started to nominate some of the favorite blogs owned by the Filipino Bloggers. From a hobby, now a habbit. A well-matched blog and design always comes in pair. Here are couples of criteria in designing a blog.

1. User-Friendly. A great Blog doesn’t tend visitors to click the [x] mark or holding ALT + F4 in keyboard just because your Blog loads too slow. Your Blog should not have couple of Media or Images (Youtube, Imeem) embed in your blog post that could make readers browsers slower. Remember that there are still Dial-up users.

2. Browser Compatiblity. Browsing Statistics says that Firefox has become popular, but still Internet Explorer is the common browser. Continue reading »
